31/03/2007 17:00 Dublin to Cork
Ran on time but was MKIII operated. No trolley service.
Incoming train from Cork at approx 1620 was 20 mins late (should this have been the 17:00?) |

There's a 16.20 arrival from cork in the timetable so a 20 min delay doesn't stack up if it arrived at 16.20.The same train is the 17.00 which you were on at 17.00 and leaving on time.?????
A mk3 is operating the cork line as a mk4 set is still out of service from time to time. |

If the arr Dub 1620 should have been the 1700 to Cork then seems that the MKIII was hauled in especially. Yes, the MKIII departed on time at 1700. |

They usually are timetabled to come in at 10-20 past the hour and then go out at the top of that hour. However, strainge things do happen. There was a CDE set plonked on P3 today for most of the day, p7 was being used as well as 5.
I guess they anticipated a fault with that 1700 and decided to use the Mrk3 set instead and it seems that the intended CDE came in on time. Fair dues, someone had their head working. Todays 1300 was delayed loading, i counted six orange lads anding around when it departed on time as it happens. |
