[09-10-2009] 7.58 Maynooth to Bray
The good lads of Irish rail decided to send a 4 carriage 29 for this train.
As you can imagine packed to the rafters. People standing as it left Maynooth. This train must be the busiest train in the morning and sending down a 4 carriage is crazy |

Some unscheduled strangeness, a further 4 coach train arrived Pearse at 8:56, it appeared to have come from the Maynooth line, it certainly didn't come from the northern line. It terminated in Pearse

Was at Coolmine this morning for this, the 08:17 - announcement over the tannoy said that due to operational difficulties (I'm paraphrasing) this train would be a 4 car set but that there would be another train along shortly afterwards. The multitude on the platform proudly squashed themselves onto this already packed 4 car. About 50 people stayed behind or didn't get on and waited for the "train along shortly afterwards" - this too was a 4 car set but surprisingly sparsely populated - everyone got a seat even those at Castleknock - the train did terminate at Westland Row though, much to the concernation of a few.
Maybe this train originated at Clonsilla, wonder was it the diverted Dockland? Never mind... |
