Parking charges in Gorey from 10th Nov 2008
I noticed a poster in Gorey station this morning saying that parking charges (for the "car park" and run by NCPS) would be imposed from Monday 10th November 2008. Does anyone know how this will be implemented? Will there be a machine or tickets sold at the ticket office? Was there not supposed to be car park improvements prior to this being put in place?

There will be a pay and display machine
There is certainly planning permission in for a extension of the car park Unfortunately Irish Rail don't care and don't want to discuss any changes to the charge plan, its really just a money grabbing exercise. There is also a element of blackmail involved as well, you want a improved car park, you will be charged. If you don't want to pay, well we go elsewhere and put you to the back of the very long queue All of these works are paid for with taxpayers money, its not costing Irish Rail anything
