Angry last drogheda train

Monday night, heading for the last train to Drogheda. luas escalator not working firstly, then got to platform 4. train was completely out of the shed. Managed to get on just as doors were closing, bearing in mind timetable in the concourse said 23:18 as I passed by. There was probably room for an 8 car train between our train and the end of the track.

Last night. obviously mad it in plenty of time this time. train left 13 minutes late. arrived into Rush and Lusk at 0:03 instead of 23:44. or nineteen minutes late. no apology. no nothin. bit reduculous.
If they were gonna delay the train for some middle aged take that fans they could have put on a later train. or somthing.

The stupid take that concert was late finishing last night, the extra trains from Sandymount around 22:45/22:50 were more or less empty as a result. This is increasingly a problem, the trains are provided in good time but they go unused

yeah, a dart arrived in about 23:18 or so, loads got on. then another dart came and went ahead of us. must have been for Howth, there was no dart in malahide when we passed through. I didn't mind being lateleaving so much as I was sure we'd make time. not lose another 6 minutes.

If they are specifically for the concert can they not delay the trains?

Well there are other trains in motion as well so the amount of time a train can be held is limited in the case of northbound last night there was about 8 minutes before it would begin to delay a train

And the reason why the 23:20 is sometimes found at the far end of P4 is since its the shortest change from P5 using either the normal entrance or the new one just beyond the train shed, all dart services call at P5 late at night

On monday the back end of the train was north of the normal DART entrance. most of the train was well north of the new p5 entrance too.
