Partial refund?
Bought a ticket last week for the Sligo line from a DART station. Clearly asked for it from Maynooth, as my annual ticket covers me that far. Was only on the way in to Connolly that I realised he'd sold me a ticket from that DART station, which I think is about €4 dearer than the ticket I asked for.
Went to the ticket desk at Connolly before boarding, explained the situation, but was told they could do nothing - I'd have to go back to Killester and get it changed there. Which was impractical, as I'd miss the train. Or buy a second ticket and get the first one refunded later, which I couldn't as I hadn't enough cash. In the end I just gave up and got the train. Seems a bit daft that they could do nothing at Connolly. Any idea how I go about getting a refund for the difference between the ticket I asked for and the one I was given? Should I just fill out the generic refund form and attach an explanation? |

That's probably your best chance. It has worked for me in the past.
