Bridge Strike on Northern Line 26 Jun 2006
The 8:45 Enterprise from Connolly to Belfast was almost 45 mins late arriving in Drogheda due to a bridge being struck by a lorry. The train stopped north of Balbriggan, so I presume Laytown or Bettystown are the most likely locations. There was an announcement within a couple of minutes of stopping, each time appologising for the delay, "on behalf of Northern Ireland Railways and Iarnród Éireann". Several more announcements followed. The delay seemed to pass quite quickly because we were kept updated throughout.
I didn't check, but I assume there was nothing about on IE's website. |

Nothing on IE site or translink, but the 7:35 ex Dublin is 50 down already and a C3K is out on the 10:30 Belfast Dublin
Would assume the MK2d set is also out on the 7:35 and the 9:35 is using the hopefully repaired 7:35 set Its total chaos on enterprise Last edited by Mark Gleeson : 27-06-2006 at 08:48. |

Yes, I saw the Mk2s flash past this morning (I was on the 8:20 Enterprise ex Drogheda, it's supposed to arrive 8:07, so it was clearly behind schedule).
Does that mean two Enterprise sets have failed? |
