Hope this is appropriate place to post this.

New family Leap cards for €10 for 24 hours:

Covers Dart, Short Hop Commuter, Luas, Dublin Bus (including Airlink and Nitelink) and Bus Eireann "Red Zone".

I hadn't heard of Red Zone, so I went looking and found this:

Great to see BE adopting a zonal system, but there's still a vast discrepancy in fares charged. For example Drogheda and Navan are both in the blue zone, and similar distances from Dublin, but cash fares are €8.00 to Drogheda but €14.30 to Navan. Leap card fares are €7.80 and €11.44 respectively.

Sorry this is moving away from rail, but if they adopt a zone system, shouldn't they apply it to all relevant fares?
