The 8:05 Dublin to Westport has to wait for the Galway train to cross in Tullamore EVERY DAY! It is scheduled to arrive there at 09:01 while the other train isn't even scheduled to leave until 10 or 11 past. That means if the Galway-Dublin train is 5 late......

In reality the 08:05 usually takes it's time on the way to Tullamore and turns up late for a quicker crossover. There is an arrow that usually slows it in Kildare as it changes track to return to Dublin. You'd think the nice people in Irish Rail would give us an extra 5 minutes in bed and delay departure to 08:10 and so miss all the messing......

It's great fun on that line. The late crossings delay each other on and on until you get to the last train of the evening so they build in more and more time! Maybe Tullamore should be renamed Paddington.
