I have one of the old rail only point to point annual tickets that (surprise surprise) doesn't work in any of the machines......the guys in the station look at you like you have two heads when you ask them to open the gates - its not my fault my ticket that cost over 2K doesn't work

Why can't the tax saver office issue and new smart card and deliver it to one of the stations I use so I don't have to go into Connolly station to get it changed??? I did ask can they do this and I could surrender my old ticket at the same time but they said they can't as there would be two tickets in circulation at the same time - Do they not trust their own staff to be able to hold onto a ticket until I hand in my replacement????
I can't take time off work to go into Connolly to change my ticket and because they won't send it to my local station, the guys may just keep on opening the gate for me......
