Right I'm board of arguing.

You are 100% right.

This is nothing to do with the radio mast and bad press of mobile telecoms masts (though the councillor stated this was a fear).

Irish rail do need PP for masts and had to get it for every sight.

Heritage groups & local councillors understand about radio frequencies and vantage points better than telecoms engineers.

It is good to hold back development where ever possible even for a radio mast and should be done at the expense of the state.

There is no NIMBY-ism in Ireland.
