The 1801 (1758 ex GCD) connects with the 1825 from Heuston not the 1805. The 1758 is typically 5-10 mins late at Drumcondra but makes the connection with the 1825. Sounds like your trip was normal...

A full tender process takes up to five years. Re-ordering additional ICR units only take 2-3 years. Also there is the advantage of compatibility with the rest of the fleet esp for maintenance....

No mention by NTA or Taxsaver of the GCD service for point to point tickets.

Taxsaver still refer to Heuston with usual Luas/DB extra but nothing about the new GCD service.

Yes if Kildare is served at least at peak hours. But I'd need to know early Nov for Annual Taxsaver renewal. No good if it terminates at Newbridge.
