[5-8-2008] 5.45am Sligo-Connolly train delayed
 

Sligo train delayed. Arrived 22 mins late into Mullingar and seems to be in no hurry to get to Dublin. No reason given in the announcements..

I take it its still running late! It did not seem to pass clonsilla at the expected time and the 08:17 maynooth pearse is on course at ashtown at the moment so its probably stuck behind

Indeed..it stopped in Killucan, awaiting the Sligo bound train and was delayed a little longer. Passing Ashtown now and it's flying in since Maynooth.

The driver announced there were 'operational diffculities' (that's the way he pronounced it, multiple times!) between Longford and Edgeworthstown..

That always reads as the gatekeeper overslept

Finally arrived Connolly at 9:18:36 full 30 minutes late.
