22k on Kildare-Heuston
It seems this week there is a 22k doing the Kildare-Heuston run which is usually done by a 29k. It seems reasonably permanent as well as they have all the info on stops etc over the PA and on the electronic displays. Anyone know anything about this? The 22ks are much nicer than the 29ks :)

I did say to myself that the 22k trains are Intercity Commuter like cars. Your lucky they are much nicer. Just waiting for them to come on Rosslare services or the 16:40 Connolly Gorey service
|
There was a breakdown, only thing short enough to run the kildare line is a 22k
The 22k's are programmed for everything in the timetable, I know I had a play with the computer |

Staff training is the likely cause
It offered me the option to key in a DART train code, it seemed to know |
The other short train was the Push-Pull (DVT on Cork End) on Monday, 3 coaches

This 22k is still doing the Kildare line run.

That releases a 29k to run the 16:40 to Gorey
Far from ideal to use the train on the route at peak hours but it has a speed advantage beyond Hazelhatch |

When will the Gorey/Rosslare drivers be finished with there training on the 22k trains.? |
The 18.05 service yesterday was a 22K set and it broke down twice. Driver had to restart the engine twice once at Adamstown and the other in Celbridge. It also had something thrown at it from a bridge around Caragh.
I have notice a few of the 22K lately have had door problems. These have five to ten minute delays in boarding the trains. |
All times are GMT. The time now is 16:20. |
