IRN - pathetic as ever.

When Irish Railway News relaunched itself about 6 months to a year ago, I had hoped that it would leave behind some of the pathetic childishness that was so pervasive on the MSN board. But imagine my surprise when I checked out the "Useful links" thread under the "Useful links and Web Talk" forum, and found out that the term "Platform11" was in the forums profanity censor and that entering it into a post would see that term being turned into @#%$ profanity mask.

See here:

I nearly passed out laughing.

Very old news and actually due to the risk RUI/P11 posed in relation to taking legal action against them after some of their members made unquantifiable accusations about people here. My oul moto is simple. If you're gonna say it, say it under your own name and then make sure you can back it up.:D

But I really think this whole P11 Vs IRN thing has gone beyond stupid and only ever lasted due to the amount of P11 members who continued to partake in both forums. Had it been a minority, then it wasn't too bad, but alas it appeared to be a majority and it was internet news worthy stuff. as worlds collided.

Just aswell I advocated a name change. In some circles the name P11 is legendary, while in others its like "666" inscribed on the back of a head.

Might be old news, but I only discovered it yesterday.
