06.35 Dundalk to Bray

Well on the first Monday of the new timetable, got to experience the 'extra' capacity promised on the Northern Suburban line.
Above service operated with 6 carriages, leading to overcrowding en-route, and passengers running down the platform trying to squeeze on.
I wonder did the Maynooth line gain in the removal of carriages from this service? Driver made no announcements or apologies...

There are at current estimates 3 4 car 29k sets trapped in Sligo as a result of the flooding, plus one extra set to fill in on the Dublin side leaves 8 coaches short

Rosslare got the 4 car treatment today as a result

Why don't IE tell the truth? I think most passengers would understand, especially if someone told them....

Same again this morning, but this time more passengers going for the service. The inability to close the doors led to delays of 10 minutes. A late arrival into Connolloy no doubt delayed all services using Connolloy in the 8-9am slot.
