[03/07/2012]-Ongoing Delays on services to/from Heuston

There is still ongoing delays of 10-25 minutes on service to/from Heuston. Irish Rail "claim" its was due a train fault near Monasterevin. For some reason I don't beleave it....One train fault shouldn't result in delays lasting for hours. Never has before. Anyone know the real reason?

Best quote of the day form Irish Rail when I asked for a reason why trains were experiencing delays since 07.30 and things didn't return to normal until departures from 14.00.

Quote:

13:40 to Limerick departed 7mins late everything else is to time

This was when I was on a train that was 27 minutes late and every train arriving/departing Heuston was showing delayed on Real Time. We were told that there was a signaling failure between Cherryville-Monasterevin. Think this is correct as the Real Time is not registering Cherryville Junction since earlier today however they are now showing Departed Monasterevin. It used to be Arrived Monasterevin.
