13:36 To Rosslare
I'm on this train and it's a 29k commuter train. This is not what I paid my money for. I expect an Intercity train. The only reason I can think of is that it's December 8th. They obviously thought there'd be a higher volume of passengers? When oh when is SDO coming into operation so we can have longer 22k intercity trains on this line??

It happens as a matter of routine on the 13:36 due train shortages. ICR stock is allocated in preference to Sligo
SDO is not the issue, its a lack of suitable trains. If they can't find a 3 coach set finding a 6 coach set will be even harder. The 6 coach ICR parked in platform 1 in Connolly is the 16:00 to Sligo. |
Can we be reminded who were the Sligo politicians who refused Mark 3s as hand me downs so that sublimity can complain to them? :D

SDO?
What does the abbreviation "SDO" mean?
"School days only" as in Bus Éireann timetables of years ago springs to mind (!!!) but I know it must be a railway-related term! Thanks in advance. |

Thanks for that, just wasn't aware of the abbreviation side of things.
