[17-11-2008] Dublin area delays

All northbound and southbound Commuter and DART services are delayed by up to 15 minutes. Services leaving the city centre are quite badly congested. Don't have any reason at the moment beyond automated announcements of "operational problems".

That would explain the 17:50 to Dundalk leaving Pearse at 17:59

Everything is crawling

MOH 17-11-2008 19:24

Got off northbound at Killester 10 minutes late at 18:25, scrolling display was claiming "poor line conditions". Most of the delay was due to being stuck behind aforementioned late Dundalk train.
Although overheard an announcement while passing through Connollly that a southbound DART was running late due to "late arrival of an incoming train".
So take your pick. Personally, I blame the bears. We need a new bear tax to sort them out.

18.40 to Dundalk delays

This was held at Killester, and crawled all the way to Balbriggan. Was about 15 mins late.
Driver made 1 announcement (very low volume) to say delays to the 18.15 ex-Pearse caused our delays.
However the 18.15 must be delayed by at least 25-30 mins to cause such long delays to all services behind it.
Did anyone manager to meet the managers tonight? I went through Connolly at 18.35, but no sign of them.

I know someone who did

Bet they got scarce when trouble hit

At Pearse, the display said "poor rail conditions". Can't get much closer to the truth than that, eh? :)

The meet and greet managers was meant to be over by 18:30 so they mustn't have hanged around!
