Iarnrod Eireann are operating an extra train from Athlone to Galway on 29th and 30th July and also an extra return evening train on these days from Galway to Heuston as follows:-

Bus Éireann will operate Special Race Services for the Galway Races from Monday, 27 July to Sunday, 2 August 2009.

Services will operate on Monday, Tuesday & Friday from 15.00 as required

Services will operate on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday from 11.00 as required

Returning immediately after Races

* Adult Single: €5.00, Adult Return: €8.00
* Child Single: €3.00, Child Return: €5.00

The following Alterations will be made to Bus Services in the Galway Area:

Galway City Services will operate as normal
Wednesday & Thursday

* Galway/Athenry: The 14.30hrs from Galway and the 16.15hrs from Athenry will be cancelled
* Galway/Carna: The 17.15hrs from Galway deferred to 18.00hrs
* Galway/Castlerea: The 17.45hrs from Galway deferred to 18.00hrs
* Galway/ Eyrecourt: The 17.30hrs from Galway deferred to 18.00hrs
* Galway/Longford: The 16.25hrs from Galway deferred to 17.15hrs
