Some problem with early morning Enterprise.

4 coaches from 8.32 Drogheda to Pearse borrowed to collect passengers from Dundalk.

Passengers from Drogheda asked to change trains at Balbriggan.

So what did the 9.30 Dublin Belfast consist of then?

Hopefully it was a Mk3 or a 22k and not a 29

9:35 is a NIR staffed train so it was either the Gatwick set of 4 coaches or a 3CK railcar set

Unlike IE NIR have a backup plan

Oh yeah forgot about NIR's backup set.

No reason why the Mk3s can't be a backup though. Being refurbished I know but some are still a backup for Cork when the Mk4 fails

I don't think the Mk3s are allowed north of the border anymore.

There were several DARTs ran short as well this morning, and a 4-car DART at peak time is pretty painful.

The mk3 coaches are allowed provided the locomotive has the safety equipement

The southbound service seems to have been a 3-car 3CK, which was followed by a 29K to mop up the Dundalk and Drogheda passengers who couldn't get on. I saw the latter crossing the viaduct, but was on the commuter train following it (oh, those extra 5 mins in bed).

I saw the 3CK heading north from Connolly as we were arriving on the 8:32.
