Due to track improvement works on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May, the following alterations to services will apply:


Saturday 16th May

18.25 Waterford to Heuston service will operate to Kildare only. Bus transfers will operate from Kildare to Heuston.

20.30 Cork to Heuston service will operate to Portlaoise only. Bus transfers will operate from Portlaoise to Heuston.

21.00 Heuston to Cork service will operate to Limerick Junction only with bus transfers from Thurles to Mallow and Cork.

The following services are cancelled:

18.35 Heuston to Thurles
20.35 Heuston to Kildare
21.00 Thurles to Heuston
21.45 Heuston to Kildare
21.54 Kildare to Heuston
22.50 Kildare to Heuston
23.00 Heuston to Kildare

Sunday 17th May

08.10 Heuston to Tralee will be bus transfers from Heuston to Portlaoise and by train from Portlaoise to Tralee. Train will depart Portlaoise at 09.40.

08.30 Cork to Heuston will operate from Limerick Junction only and will depart at 09.41. Bus transfers will operate from Cork and Mallow to Thurles and by train from Thurles to Heuston. Buses will depart Cork at 08.15. Train will depart Thurles at 10.15 hrs.

08.40 Heuston to Galway will be bus transfers from Heuston to Kildare and by train from Kildare to Galway. Train will depart Kildare at 09.35.

09.30 Heuston to Waterford is deferred to 10.05.
10.12 Limerick Junction to Limerick is deferred to 11.00
10.35 Athlone to Westport is deferred to 11.00.
11.00 Mallow to Cork is deferred to 11.30.
11.33 Ballina to Manulla Junction is deferred to 11.58.
12.07 Manulla Junction to Ballina is deferred to 12.32

Sounds like they finally are going to do something about the speed restrictions (which aren't impacting journey times according to Irish Rail) which are playing havoc with Dublin Cork services
