The Dublin Airport Authority is introducing new vending machines for customers wishing to purchase clear plastic bags to hold their liquids while passing through passenger security. The new system will come into effect tomorrow 6th May.

The bags, which are required under EU Regulations on Liquids, are regulation size and can be bought for €1 (for two bags) at convenient locations throughout the Departures floor at Dublin Airport. The plastic packaging of the bag container is also fully recyclable.

Since the introduction of the EU Regulations on Liquids for all European airports in November 2006, Dublin Airport has provided the required bags free of charge to passengers.

I think the bag comes in a ball-shaped container. Bulk vending is the official English name; gashpon in Japanese.

I thought they might have been dispensed in a 101ml tube to be squeezed out as fast as you can give them your money.
