Fundraiser and lego models.

I think this sounds like a great idea, and I'm all for it. I have some concerns about how viable it would be as a fund raiser, but as long as you've sold enough seats in advance to be sure of breaking even, I think it's worth doing.

I don't know if I could persuade the other half to come along, though.

I think if the committee can convince wives and partners that they won't be bored out of their minds, you could be on to a winner.

Nope, it's the decking in my garden. I have a plan to build a model of the Boyne viaduct, but I'm going to need a heck of a lot more grey bricks.

Honestly, they won't be. Its about more than trains etc etc if you want it to be. Both destinations are actually very enjoyable. Its no different to any other day out. Remember the RPSI attract all types to their steam outings and the Transport Musuem has much more than just old trains. The History of Flight exhibit is great along with Bikes, cars, a De Lorean and feckin Fire engines!! I know Kids & adults love it as Ive brought School Tours on the same trip.

Its a decent day out. You make out of it want you want. Some can salivate over things, others can just say, "yeah thats cool."
