Did anybody hear him on the radio on friday? Couldn't believe how dismissive he was of peoples complaints...made out that absolutley nothing wrong with IR ...more with the people. One listener asked why one of the new stations leaked...Kenny bluntly said it didnt...not "i'll try and find out what the problem is" ..or "get the caller to tell us/meet us and show us exactly where" ...instead.."station is fine...i dont believe it leaks."

Got three words for you
Railway Safety Commission
The smugness in Irish Rail will vanish quickly as they are starting to get stuck into them
That would make your blood boil!
I didnt hear it myself, did anyone ring in about the new 75mph limit on the Cork mainline ? or even better, the numerous lower-speed restrictions on the line? it actually felt like they were constantly testing the train breaks on a recent trip (26th/27th March) to Dublin from Cork return.
It definitely seems like IR are going backwards a lot at the moment. I know we have the reopenings of the Midleton line, the Ennis - Athenry line, the Kildare Route Project, new rolling stock...all very good investments... but a lot more work needs to be done to maintain the current infrastructure!! Customer "service" is another area that needs to be overhauled big time!!
Who appoints these people like Barry Kenny anyways?

We know all about the 75mph limit, the RSC are looking into it. Curiously its not impacting on journey times, in fact we have recorded a shorter time since the restrictions came in, work that one out! BTW limit came into force March 31st at 00:01
The 75 mph limit is a curious thing, firstly it wasn't as a result of the RSC intervening and I travelled that bit at 80-100mph the day before and had no complaints, it looks distinctly like a play to extract some cash from the DoT to relay the Dublin Cork mainline
Irish Rail have had it easy, always been so easy to say look at shinny new thing over here the game is up and Irish Rail will be getting a earful from us, the RSC and various others as they scramble to try to cover up the mess
