I just checked the online timetable for Dublin - Rosslare and it appears as though the 17:25 has been altered to go DIRECTLY to Rosslare Europort (No changes needed at Enniscorthy).

That's probably something to do with this (http://www.irishrail.ie/news_centre/news.asp?action=view&news_id=480). I just checked the schedule for later in the month and it's back to normal. It says that the 17:25 service with a change at Enniscorthy runs "every Monday to Friday from 2 January until 31 July; except 2-6,9-13,16-18 February; 2-5,9-13,17 March".

Fair enough. So, it's not permanent but merely a temporary extension? I wonder why this particular line has been subjected to so many cancellations over the last 2 months?

Mark Glesson mentioned this on another thread. Its because the 19.23 and the 20.00 from Gorey & Enniscorthy they have to travel from Dublin at 4am and 4.30am and cannot get past the "Enginering works" thats why they go direct to Rosslare (17.25) and the 16.40 terminates at Gorey.

Its plain and simple, irish rail just don't care about the rosslare line.
if they cared, the new trains would have been on this line 2 years ago. Remember they were promised after sligo got them.
Now its just delay after delay, excuse after excuse.
