I see connex are now veolia transport.
When did this happen?
Its just a name change from their parent company Vivendi Environnement I believe. Vivendi became Veolia in 2003 so Connex must be changing now, where did you here this?
Ahh, I see it now. Cheers for that. I've renamed the thread in keeping if you dont mind.
Dear Friend,
Connex Transport Ireland is part of the business group Veolia Environnement. Veolia Environnement has four divisions within the group: Water, Waste, Energy and Transport. All the divisions will become Veolia. This brand roll out project, decided on by the company's Executive Committee at the prompting of Henri Proglio, Chief Executive Officer at the end of 2004, has the following objectives:
· enhance international recognition of Veolia Environnement
· foster a common, unifying in-house culture
· and send a strong signal of our long-term strategy, for everyone, everywhere
The new division names within Veolia Environnement are: Veolia Transport, Veolia Water, Veolia Energy - Dalkia, Veolia Environmental Services (previously ONYX). One company, one name and one new symbol to embody the union of all our strengths and expertise, and representing one business: environmental solutions.
In Connex Transport Ireland this change will commence in April ’06 with the company change of name. This means that Connex Transport Ireland will change its name to Veolia Transport Ireland.
Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Richard Dujardin
Managing Director
