2009 Fares

The new Intercity fares are on irishrail.ie now (even if you're booking a journey for today, tomorrow, or Wednesday). Looks like the online prices (like €20/€33 single Heuston-Cork) are the same.

Enterprise prices don't seem to have changed.

I haven't included single fares but for the most part (at booking offices anyway) they're the same or a few euro less than returns.

The Luas/90/91/92 bus addon is gone up 10c single/20c return; it's cheaper to use a smartcard if you're just going to the city centre.

First class supplement stays the same for most trains at €20 each way. The peak-time Heuston-Cork appears to have gone down €1 to €34.

Curiously the Luas single zone fare has not increased so there is no reason to increase the add on fare.

The software will always give the cheapest return, either the sum of singles or the normal return.

Curiously the Luas single zone fare has not increased so there is no reason to increase the add on fare.
It's been the same as the number 90 fare for a while now, and that's supposed to be going up to €1.40. The Luas single zone return fare is going up 10c to €2.90 while the single is €1.50 (€1.60 peak), so there's still a small saving of money and a large saving of time, unless you carry a smartcard.

Peak web single fares have gone up to €36 on the Dublin-Cork route.
