The main fare changes are as follows:
§ Adult Single No increase for 1 zone
(Peak & Off Peak) Up 10c for 2 or more zones

§ Adult Return Up 10c for 1 zone
Up 20c for 2 or more zones

§ Adult 7 Day Increases range from 90c to €1.20*

§ Adult 30 Day Increases range from €2.50 to €6.00*

§ Adult SmartCard No increase for 1 zone
Up by 5c or 10c for 2 or more zones

§ Student 7 Day Increases range from 60c to €1.10*

§ Student 30 Day Increases range from €2.20 to €3.00*

*Prices depend on number of zones travelled. Prices valid from Luas Ticket Machines from Monday 05/01/09. Increases apply to some other Luas tickets not listed here. Byelaws apply to the use of Luas and Luas tickets.

Many people travelling regularly on Luas still buy a single ticket from the Luas Ticket Machines; this can be the most expensive option. You can save money by getting a Luas SmartCard or buying 7 Day or 30 Day tickets.
