Update: DART Services returning to normal. by Corporate Communications
Update: Wednesday 27th August 12.30hrs
Iarnród Éireann advises passengers that DART Services are returning to normal between Howth and Howth Junction following an earlier incident on the line at Bayside.
Iarnród Éireann apologises for any incovenience caused.
Took them near on 3 hours to sort it out, the target is under 2 hours in the UK and indeed the average time is now close to 90 minutes
Any idea what the 'indicent' was?

Incident is the IE code word for train vs person on the line
I figured as much but Bayside station isnt a known location for that.
The train (and platform) display was continually announcing that the train I was on at about 1000 this morning was destined for Howth. At each station they were making loud announcements that trains were not running between Howth & Howth Junction.
Can the on train displays not be changed to indicate short running or do they really only support Malahide, Howth, Connolly, Bray & Greystones ?

Yes the displays can be updated quite easily
lack of staff training is the real problem
