Iarnród Éireann advise customers that DART services are currently suspended between Howth and Howth Junction, due to flooding on the line.

Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets. Customers travelling to / from Howth, Sutton and Bayside are advised to connect with bus services at Raheny.

Iarnród Éireann advise customers that DART services are currently suspended between Howth and Howth Junction, and Commuter services are suspended between Clonsilla and Maynooth, due to flooding on the line.

Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets.

Customers travelling to / from Howth, Sutton and Bayside are advised to connect with bus services at Raheny.

Customers travelling to / from Leixlip and Maynooth should avail of bus services from the city centre (Pearse Street) - however, 19.05hrs Connolly to Sligo is expected to operate, and will additionally serve both Leixlip Confey and Leixlip Louisa Bridge.

Word is it hasn't rained at all in Maynooth all day

There is a very dark cloud currently about 1km off Blackrock heading towards the southside, its a wall of water about to soak the southside

Southside DART services are at risk it is high tide

No rain at all in Maynooth today.

My guess is that the track at Louisa bridge is flooded but I cant see how it suddenly got so bad at 7 as all services were running.

Two trains at Maynooth station 5 mins ago looked like they were heading back into the city with passengers.

Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets: Customers travelling to / from Leixlip and Maynooth should avail of bus services from the city centre (Pearse Street).

Howth reopened sometime around 19:30

The 2000 ex Maynooth ran yet the Irish Rail update at 2000 still says the whole thing is closed. So when they bother to put up the notices they aren't worth anything.

It was 5 mins late in Louisa bridge.

The flooding at Louisa bridge was no worse than usual, i.e the sleepers were covered but the rails were well above the water.

Now Drogheda and Dundalk are closed.

Iarnród Éireann advise customers that the Dundalk to Drogheda line is closed due to flooding. Affected services will involve bus transfers. Commuter services between Clonsilla and Maynooth, and DART services between Howth and Howth Junction have resumed following earlier flooding.

Following earlier flooding, the lines between Clonsilla and Maynooth, Howth and Howth Junction, and Drogheda and Dundalk have all reopened.

I wonder if any system has ever used tanker cars to pump out flooded lines and discharge the water elsewhere?

The Eurocrats would never allow it now I suppose...
