The upgrade of the Sandyford Stop is starting in July 2008 and will last approximately three months. Works are due to start the week starting July 28th but detailed planning and testing is ongoing. The Sandyford Luas Stop is being upgraded to facilitate the construction and operation of the Luas Green Line extension to Cherrywood. Construction is ongoing on this Railway Procurement Agency project (Line B1). RPA recently awarded the contract for the installation of the Luas track and related Luas infrastructure. These works involve the installation of a new Luas Trackwork system close to the existing Sandyford Stop which will allow trams coming from the existing Green Line to go to Sandyford Depot or to proceed directly along the extension to Cherrywood and Brides Glen.

Normally their obsession with putting everything into Word documents instead of just putting it on the site is annoying but now they've taken the biscuit. One of those "documents" contains a logo and a link. Nothing else. I'd love to meet the person who came up with that brain fart.

Are they building a third platform at Sandyford (which would seem to make sense) or are they just changing the track work?
