Belfast services: security alert by Corporate Communications

16.45hrs, 21st July 2008

Iarnród Éireann advises customers for the Dublin to Belfast line that, due to a security alery between Lurgan and Moira, services on the line will be substituted by bus between Newry and Belfast. There will be resulting delays of up to 45 minutes.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Exact bus substitutions are slightly different

Enterprise - Dublin Connolly to Belfast Central 21-Jul-2008 16:41
Due to a Security Alert, the 1520 service from Dublin Connolly to Belfast Central will run as a bus substitition from Portadown to Belfast Central


Enterprise - 1610 Belfast Central to Dublin 21-Jul-2008 16:30
Due to a security alert there will be a substitution on the 1610 Enterprise service between Belfast and Newry.

i wonder is this why the 18.40 Connolly to Dundalk?? Its still in the station and no announcement as per usual from Irish rail!

Belfast services returning to normal, following security alert by Corporate Communications

Iarnród Éireann advises customers that the Dublin to Belfast line is now fully operational, following an earlier security alert between Lurgan and Moira. Train services are operating fully between Dublin and Belfast, although delays of up to 45 minutes remain.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Still doesn't explain the 18:40 being late
