DART to the airport

You should be able to buy a feeder ticket, certainly from DART stations, possibly other stations that you can use on the 102 bus, which has been extended to Dublin Airport.

You must ensure you ask for a feeder ticket, whether paying on the bus or at a station.

The 102 serves both Malahide and Sutton Stations. Seabury is between the Airport and Malahde Station. Seabury-Malahide journey time is 3-5 minutes. Malahide has level access on the southbound platform a long ramp or steps on the northbound platform. The 102 bus stops are almost immediately outside the station.

There are three different tickets on the system for Dublin airport

There is the
DART + 747/748 via Connolly/Busaras
DART + AerDart via Howth Junction (yes it hasn't run in 3 years but staff still issue it)
DART + 102 via Sutton/Malahide

Ask the ticket vending machine and you get a blank, yes Irish Rail know but aren't in a hurry to fix it.

These tickets should not be exotic.

Anywhere in the world, you can buy a ticket to get to the airport from anywhere in the city. Arrgh.

that timetable suggests that none of the buses from Sutton actually go as far as the airport, or are they just not including the arrival time?

at 70 minutes journey time (+ however long on the Dart) you'd want to be a serious masochist to choose this option over the Airlink.

Indeed, even when the ticket is advertised on a poster right in front of them, I got it doesn't exist and a fair bit of abuse.

It took 3 letters and a TD before I got an apology and refund from the IE chief exec.

Of course it only worked second time since I found the ticket code.

We don't have the ticket codes for any of the airport connections, though really things have gone very wrong if we have to publish the codes ourselves

Of course there is always the option of a spur line to the Airport :rolleyes:

at 70 minutes journey time (+ however long on the Dart) you'd want to be a serious masochist to choose this option over the Airlink.Starting the 102 from Sutton only makes sense in certain cases:

(a) when there is a gap in trains to Malahide, whether scheduled or not.
(b) certain people starting from Baldoyle/Howth/Sutton/Portmarknock.

In all other cases change at Malahide.
