Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has announced that he will tender his resignation to President Mary McAleese on 6 May.

He said the decision he was announcing today was solely motivated by what is in the best interests of the people.

11 years is long enough for anyone to be in power, and now we'll just get more of the same, from the same party. This country really needs to be shaken up by some new similies and pollitical bs and just give us what we need.


I really dont like how this countries future looks. If i keep up nursing when i qualify it might be a good idea to leave, canada looks nice.:cool:
