Anto isn't sick

Situation is that irish Rail management imposed the 2008 rosters without agreement of staff, staff more than willing to work the 2007 rosters, the only changes being on Sundays apart from small changes in Cork Cobh

A long standing issue which goes back to the Phil Flynn deal of May 2006 and the lack of progress in implementing it. The issue of pensionable pay is important, overtime doesn't appear to count so why work your day off?

Drivers work a 5 over 7, i.e. 2 days off per week one of which is a weekend. Due to staff shortages in Cork management have applied pressure on staff to work one or more of there rest days. Staff are now refusing to work rest days which appears to be in protest at the lack of progress on the Phil Flynn deal.

The roster includes a spare driver to cover for issues which arise however if you are short staffed you have no spare and therefore have to cancel trains and its easy enough work out in advance which ones

And yes we have seen a copy of the agreement signed by Phil Flynn himself
