13 30 Westport to Dublin, Sunday 16th December by Corporate Communications

Iarnród Éireann advises customers that the 13.30hrs service from Westport to Dublin this Sunday 16th December is deferred to 14.25hrs, due to operational problems.

The 13.20hrs Ballina to Manulla Junction will be deferred to 14.15hrs as a result.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for any inconvenience caused.

The truth to this as we understand is Irish Rail management have once again failed to sort out the rostering agreements with the drivers in Westport. 14:25 was last years departure time. Also talk in of problems in Cork.

It seems to be a problem where even the staff don't get the new timetable until we do.

Of course the crew in corporate communications should be aware of the CIE group code of ethics which states avoid misrepresenting one's position or being ambiguous or misleading,We can handle the truth

It seems to be a problem where even the staff don't get the new timetable until we do.

That would explain why the train bound for Enniscorthy at 17:25 had Gorey on the front,Rear and sides of the train. He changed the display when he stopped at Connolly(Mon10th). Unless he simply forgot, Does happen but that doesnt excuse it on a national railway.
