a bit like operation freeflow aka goslow, does translink/ie think that cutting a carriage from this service improves conditions for passengers at this time of the year. its bad enough when its been arriving late as well at dundalk without the missing carriage. I'm sure the drogheda users find it amusing also. I wonder if they wil get it fixed this side of xmas

same again this morning... quite a few people standing at dundalk and the Enterprise definately looked like the normal commuter train at drogheda with people standing/sitting in the aisles/tables. I did note that IE were counting the number of passengers while checking the tickets at the entrance at Dundalk??

NIR have pulled a standard coach for overhaul which might explain matters

Were there not four De Dietrich sets delivered but only three in use? Where's the fourth?

There where 4 7 coach sets, there are now in theory 3 8 coach sets and 1 spare of each type of coach which pushed everything to the limit

well its now the third week of this. this morning reminded me of the 17.13 from pearse. there were people pushing each other to get on the train. somebody will get hurt some day.but that's the case on most commuter trains these days

The current rather dark enterprise livery is being replaced with something which looks somewhat like a cross between a Mk4 and the new intercity railcars
The 201 class will now all blend in

paint jobs aside, its a pity that they can't keep the carriages in working order. As stated elsewhere, the train was a carriage short again this morning and 10 minutes late. I did see the new livery on one of the carriages and it does match more with the current IE fleet.

There was a vandal attack on the weekend which grounded a full set
All likelihood is those coaches in the new paint job where identified as 'southern' and bricked
There was something like dis at Hueston a while back, Who do these people think they are

I was on the repainted set last night. Looks nicer, but not sure it's worth taking a coach out of service in the run up to Christmas.
