Cork service: delays by Corporate Communications
17th November - 09.55hrs
Iarnród Éireann advises customers that the 07.30hrs Cork to Heuston service is delayed by approximately 90 minutes. This is due to the train striking cattle on the line.
Iarnród Éireann apologises for the inconvenience caused.
Again no location on the incident which would be helpful, the 7:15 ex Tralee is an hour behind if it 30-40 minutes late
Irish Rail have a legal responsibility to fence the railway so you should be able to claim a refund.
The level of cattle strike on the railway is unacceptably high running at more than 1 a fortnight, it is a miracle no one has been seriously injured
