Once again Irish Rail dodge the truth in what they are doing
Actually its Kildare route, Portarlington and the new deport in Portlaoise, but those expert communicators in Irish Rail don't say that. In fact its not 'improvement' its restoring the track to a modern safe standard in Portarlington
Track Improvement Works - Portlaoise/Ballybrophy, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November by Corporate Communications
Due to Track Improvement Works between Portlaoise and Ballybrophy, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November, the following arrangements will apply:
Saturday 24th November
18.30 Cork to Heuston will operate to Ballybrophy only. Bus transfers will operate from Ballybrophy to Heuston.
19.30 Cork to Heuston will operate to Ballybrophy only. Bus transfers will operate from Ballybrophy to Heuston.
20.30 Cork to Heuston will operate to Thurles only. Bus transfers will operate from Thurles to Heuston.
20.00 Heuston to Cork will be bus transfers from Heuston to Ballybrophy and by train from Ballybrophy to Cork.
21.00 Heuston to Cork will be bus transfers from Heuston to Ballybrophy and by train from Ballyvbrophy to Cork.
Sunday 25th November
07.45 Westport to Heuston may be delayed by 10 - 15 minutes
08.10 Heuston to Tralee is deferred to 09.00
10.12 Limerick Junction to Limerick is deferred to 11.06.
11.00 Mallow to Cork is deferred to 11.50.
