Is there a version of the DART/Commuter rambler ticket (all day ticket) that is valid for more than one day (ideally 3) or do you need to buy one each day? If there is one for more than one day is it available from a machine or only an office?

Nope, valid from the date your choose though it is likely that a request to buy a 3 day starting next Friday today will be refused, so it valid from date of issue
