It left Pearse at 17:05, making it 30 minutes late
Odds on delays to the evening Maynooth Rosslare as well

I was on that service yesterday. We were told at Gorey that delay was caused by a broken down maintence machine blocking the line.

I am not sure as I returned home by bus. If the train had of being on time going to Dublin I would have made it:mad:
I have to go to Dublin again this afternoon so i will use the earlier 14.10 service that way I should make the 18.37 service home.

The 14.10 Gorey Maynooth service terminated in Connolly (arr 16.33). The train crawled all the way from Wicklow to Kilcoole. Engine trouble was given as the reason.
The train was further delayed at Greystones as the train had to wait for a DART to arrive. So much for my plan to allow myself more time after yesterdays delay.
For the record I did make the 18.37 this evening and it ran more or less on time.

I was on the 13:40 ex Rosslare today and we ran about 5-10 minutes late into Dun Laoghaire. We were about 10 minutes late leaving Enniscorthy (no reason given) and never quite made up the time. The train is a mix of 2 x 2600 and 4 x 2800 and seemed to have a bit of a problem when pulling out of stations. We must have rolled 10-15 feet back towards the tunnel in Enniscorthy before there was enough power to move forward. At the other stations there was no such backwards roll but there was noticeable revving of the engines.
Those 2600 Commuter carriages and indeed the current 2800's are not acceptable for the Dublin/Gorey/Rosslare serrvices. I mean will IE for the love of God good something about this. Those seats get so hard and your back gets so stiff. Bring on the 22000's hopefully they will have seats like the mark III coaches..Is there anyone who travels the whole lenght of the line?
