65 minutes later and the IE website shows "no travel alerts" while AA Roadwatch says that services are disrupted due to an incident at Howth Junction.

If the problem has been sorted, you would think that IE might say so, given the fairly radical disruption implied by the earlier message.

Again this magical use of incident, so what is it an alien landing?

1. Why
2. Whose fault
3. When will it be fixed

Is that too much to ask?

Actually, this (http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/mhcwqleysnkf/)does explain it. Although in typical breakingnews fashion services had actually resumed before they got around to posting this.

Dublin rail services disrupted after death on tracks
12/09/2007 - 12:58:09

Rail services in north Dublin have been severely disrupted following a death on the tracks.

Irish Rail says the incident happened near Howth Junction this morning.

All northbound and southbound DART and commuter rail services have been suspended as a result, but Dublin Bus will be accepting all train tickets until the situation is back to normal.

Well I've just got the full story and I don't want to publish it online since its very distressing. The 11:00 Dublin Belfast enterprise service was the train involved

Fact is once again Irish Rail failed to provide actuate, timely and functional information

What the notice should have said

1. Due to an incident beyond our control involving the 11:00 Dublin Belfast Enterprise service all services are suspended yap yap

2. Emergency services are at the scene

3. It is expected to be at least 2 hours before services return to normal, Dublin Bus yap yap

4. Last updated at xx:xx

How easy is that:D
