Planning to go to a festival this year? - Better than tent burning oxygen and EP! And a lot cheaper!

It's 75 euro per day or 160 euro for all 4 days.

Savage line-up. FLights to Brussells are 50euro

and oh yes Belgian Women and Beer! Perfect combination.

Boy that looks a whole lot better than Oxygen.

Have a look at the transport section... unfortunately the Flash site doesn't let me copy, so I'll paraphrase... on presentation of your concert ticket at any railway station in Belgium, you can travel to the festival and back, all for free.

Perhaps IE could give them a few tips - run "special" services to the event, at a special ramped up price!

You could travel to Belgium by train. It's great fun, I did it a while ago.

Dublin or Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead - train (direct or with changes) to London (about €40 for ferry and train if bought as one ticket)

Hop across from Euston to Waterloo by Tube / bus (as of November, it will be St Pancras instead of Waterloo; Euston to St Pancras is just 5/10 mins walk)

Get Eurostar to Brussels station (can be under €50 if you get your times right - but their pricing structure is bizarre).

If you leave Dún Laoghaire at 11, you can be in Brussels drinking good coffee or beer by about 9pm (10pm local time), all things going well. Great if you're carrying a pile of stuff, don't want to deal with Ryanair and their charges for breathing and newspaper-reading, and don't mind the relatively slow journey.

If you're a real masochist, there's a bus from Dublin to Brussels (change at London) that takes a mere 24 hours...

Madness?

Sorry, but I wasn't that cool in the 80s. My taste was subsumed in an escapist vision of how my life should be as an adult!

I got the bus home from Amsterdam via London years ago, 24 hours. Not fun. But dead cheap.

well fair play to them! I expected them to be doing Butlins or as a cabaret act in one of those large bingo halls in blackpool at this stage of their careers but they have still got their loyal fanbase.:D

Yep. They sold out the Point in 2004, had a US,UK and Irish top 10 hit in September of that year and were the highest grossing (non american) touring act in the US in 2005. But just to show you that age is getting to them, take a look at this hilarious clip. Keep an eye on the guitarist nearest the camera at about 1 m 40 secs in. But like true pros they soldier on.
