Line closed since lunchtime due to a incident at junction with Queen's Street.
Services suspended Connolly to Blackhorse
Once again the question has to be asked - Why Blackhorse and not Heuston? Heuston has crossovers, trams can park on the bridge if needs be so what's the problem?

All I know is incident Blackhall Place / Queens Street
You can assume it was a red light jumper or possibly a pedestrian
And you can't run Heuston since the track layout is not designed for that
Can't find any more information, nothing on the Luas site
And you can't run Heuston since the track layout is not designed for that
I don't understand that Mark. There are crossovers so what's not layed out correctly?

No crossover in Heuston just the turnback platform
So to do Tallaght Heuston would require
Arrive Heuston as normal proceed to Sean Heuston bridge.
Reverse into central platform
Proceed back to the oubound track on Sean Heuston bridge
Then head as normal for Tallaght
Very complex

Services back to normal now. Still no confirmation on the cause.
Please use the infrastructure section in the members area for any more discussion on the technical aspects of Luas operation in a situation like this.
