Hi Foks
Has anyone any advice when making submissions to Irish Rail on timetable review of trains in and out of Heuston station
I would like to make a submission but was wondering if any one out there had any advice on what to(or not to) put in a submission
We are expecting the request to be posted soon on Irish Rail web site
Regards

What aspect of the Heuston services are you interested in ?
Not related directly to your post but can we expected to see services to Grand Canal Dock shown in the draft ?

The drafts produced are what IE are going to do and if your suggestion requires service movements by more than a few minutes or extra capacity to add a stop it wont happen unless there is significent number of complaints.
Suspect the row over Belfast is largely why the NTA would not approve the schedules for Connoly, nothing else.
The way things are going I would expect no timetable until GCD is open in autium. It is also the sensble thing to do for scheduling and they can see what a mess DART will make and build in enough padding!

To be honest this 'consultation' is nothing but a PR job
IE RU had to notify IE IM several months ago of its planned timetable for 2016, so back in September things were already locked down

So they basically spend an entire year coming up with that ridiculous timetable - probably involving at least 5 people for the whole year. No wonder nothing works.
You'd think if they spend so long planning it that they'd be able to avoid having a stopping train leaving Docklands 5 minutes before an express leaving Connolly.

Haha you answered the original question that was asked.
I think iniskeen meant to ask should we expect to see Kildare/maynooth/Drogheda services to GCD in the new timetable.
Answer to that is no

The answer to the whole thing is no.
Just. No.
