FT Cards Tag On/Off

Luas have started requiring passengers to tag on/off with the new FT Cards, when will IE follow within the Leap zone? Is there a valid reason why it has not started?

Two reasons
1. RPA now want a headcount as the tech allows
2. To ensure hot cards are detected, if you never tag on/off the card will never get the action list applied

The requirement to validate the card before use has always been there

Any indication when IE will start or will it be another Leap Card fiasco like in Cork!

Have the barriers been disabled from reading the new cards, both above stations used to read them but no longer open.

Know a person who would use them when there was no option to purchase a ticket and were even shown by a member of staff but it no longer works.

Any idea's if it's temporary or what the problem is?
