View Full Version : Cheaper than Dubin Bus ... but why?
You'd normally expect to pay more for a train... it's usually quicker and more comfortable.
Yet comparable single fare journeys I make using Cash / Leap card are cheaper by Dart. Why?

Leap fares on Irish Rail started out being based on half the return fare so less than two singles add in that there is a sweet spot in that Dublin Bus charge max fare after 13 stages, at that point the Irish Rail fare is cheaper
Obviously there comes a point when this swaps over and Irish Rail is a lot more expensive
