Drumcondra Station has reopened.

Drumcondra Station has reopened following an earlier mechanical fault on a freight service.

Iarnród Éireann apologises for any inconvenience caused.

In my view an unusual yet understandable reason for a station to temporarily close.

In my view an unusual yet understandable reason for a station to temporarily close.

Closed because Maynooth/Sligo services were diverted via the loop line which reconnects with the main line west of the station. Phinex Park Tunnel services must pass through the station to access the tunnel and the train broke down between Connolly and the tunnel west of Drumcondra.
