[13/11/2013] Evening services on Rosslare line delayed

Presently 30 min delays to trains from Rosslare through Greystones. Darts out of Greystones also delayed about 25 mins. Due to the late running of these northbound trains over single line, southbound Darts to Greystones delayed 15 mins. A bad evening fir Greystones trains.:(

Irish Rail are most definitely not on top of the wheel slip issue. What vehicles, if any, are currently using onboard sanding equipment ? DART yet again an operational disaster area and would appear not to be using sand. Big variation noticeable in driver capability with some drivers loosing little or know time while others have no problem loosing 15 to 20 minutes. Have Irish Rail got a simulator ? Are DART drivers trained to manage the conditions in an optimal fashion.

Should the Greystones service be re-cast so as to contain the DART punctuality crisis and reduce the impact of DART on other services ?

Gorey to Connolly train this morning running 25 mins late. DART services behind it delayed, but padding should allow quick catch up.
