[04/11/2013] All evening services into Pearse delayed [fire at Connolly]

10 min delays to all Northbound and southbound Darts. Wexford services delayed. Northern suburban trains delayed 10 mins behind late running Darts to Malahide. Assume IE will not use new siding at Clongriffen to catch up. Maynooth services seem fine. Majority 4 carriage Darts in the middle of the peak adding to delays so passengers go up and down platforms trying to get on.

A fire at an adjacent building has connolly platforms 6&7 closed.

Means all trains are using Tara street platform 2 and connolly platform 5?

Expect significant delays thru Connolly, all northbound & southbound Dart & Commuter must use platform 5 due to fire at building by P6 & 7

Thanks. You are spot on. After waiting a while longer outside Connolly, we finally pulled into platform 5 which was packed. Why they did not make any announcements at Pearse? I was there for 30 minutes, which just had the regular test message 8!!!

Now delays up to 25 mins into Connolly (Sligo inbound). Led overhead displays finally updated. To be fair fire was generating a lot of smoke. And no, Irish Rail did not use the Clongriffin siding, so an already late service is subject to further delays as we crawl to Malahide. :(
